Today, I'm chatting with an old friend and former business partner, Victor Zhang. Victor has a keen sense of humor which he deploys into his entrepreneurial pursuits as you'll soon find out. He has a contract manufacturing company that develops various products for businesses. The company also rose to the challenge during the hand sanitizer shortage we experienced earlier this year. This is the first episode I'm having with an entrepreneur, that is, an investor that chooses to allocate their time and money to their business. Today's episode is a bit different. I'm having a conversation with Tad Park, one of the most concentrated investors I know. He made big bets on Tesla in 2019 that paid off handsomely. Now, he is creating a set of growth ETFs focused on disruptive tech companies so everyone can benefit from his thesis. We talked about the benefits of concentration, convexity, and the culture of innovation and disruption. Follow Tad's work at voltequity.com/.

Though my guest today is relatively young, she's been investing for quite a while. At 25, she's managed to amass an investment portfolio with a value north of $100k. The average net worth for her age group is around $50k. We discuss how she started her investing journey, the role and debatable size of emergency funds, and many more. This episode is all about getting rich slowly. I hope you enjoy it.

My guest today is investor & YouTuber, Kelechi Iwuaba. A fellow Nigerian with a similar background to mine. We discussed how investors can balance social & environmental impact with portfolio returns, his goal dividend payment, and how he plans to donate 100% of his dividends to charity. I'm especially a big fan of the end where he discussed getting out of debt with the help of Dave Ramsey, but realizing that he needed to drop Ramsey's teaching if he was to invest successfully. This episode was a lot of fun to record, and I hope you learn a few things from it.

My guest this week is a long time subscriber of the newsletter. We discuss everything from the economy to risk management to alternative investments like venture and crypto. While these are not the most conventional means of investing, their asymmetric returns could be attractive to high-risk, high-reward investors willing to allocate a small percentage of their portfolio.

In this episode, Casey Burns shares his methodical approach to investing. We discuss how he is positioning his portfolio given current valuations, and his long term goals for investing. We also touch on his plan to retire, and why he decided to give away most of his future wealth. I learned a lot from this episode, and I hope you will too.
