In this interview, Tom Baker, CEO and President of Aviation Capital Group (ACG), speaks to Kieran O’Brien, Head of Aviation Advisory for KPMG in Singapore in November.
ACG is a top ten lessor, with over 400 aircraft in its portfolio, serving over 90 customers in over 45 countries. It is wholly owned by Tokyo Century and based in Newport Beach, California. The lessor also has offices based in Dublin and Singapore. Baker assumed leadership of the company in November 2020, and prior to this he served as executive vice president and chief revenue officer where he was responsible for leading ACG’s sales and marketing, and trading and technical teams.
Baker shares his thoughts on the supply issues affecting aircraft related to the secondary market and whether it is impacting asset values. In this interview, he also provides ACG’s slightly different perspective on the higher interest rates impacting lease rate factors.
