The Atlanta Braves clanked the rim in their first four games, but a rally is now in progress:  here's what's been going on during this season's first week... and we'll tell you what Braves fans should be worried about.

For Opening Day 2021, Jake and Fred go through a list of their predictions for the upcoming Atlanta Braves season.  If all goes like they think, the team will be hoisting a "hunk of metal" in late October!

It's happening:  there's a battle to see who will end up on the bench as the last players to make the Atlanta Braves active roster for 2021's Opening Day.  There are players who want it, and players looking like they simply expect to be there.  We're here to talk about that.

Spring games are underway and there's news this week about Max Fried, Brian Snitker, the AAA season, and the looming bench battles as the Atlanta Braves are getting loose for a long -- and hopefully profitable -- 2021 season.

This week, the TomahawkTake crew discuss the "Lion" (the guy we hope Austin Riley will become), the Bench -- new addition Jake Lamb in particular -- and the "Wardrobe"... that is, all the waiver claim guys we think are likely to be little more than "window dressing" pieces as Alex Anthopoulos fill out the Atlanta Braves depth with a bunch of cheap-to-get fringe major leaguers... sometimes also known as "4A" guys.

The TomahawkTake podcast has some concerns about the depth and bench portions of the Atlanta Braves roster, along with some commentary on the new of Mike Soroka's seemingly rapid recovery from his 2020 Achilles injury.

The 2021 Atlanta Braves are still woefully short on bench pieces, which could be a major problem in a long season.  Yes, Marcell Ozuna is back in the house... while that's a huge addition, we're not nearly ready for prime time.

What can you say about the great Hank Aaron that hasn't already been said by many others?  Well, Fred and Alan have some personal messages to add about just how special a player Aaron was, and we share those in our memorial to him.

Also:  Leo Mazzone finally is recognized for being the pitching coach who held everything together to get a great staff through over a decade of consistent success for the Atlanta Braves, plus... there's some frustration exercised (exorcised?) about the inability of the Braves to finish out their roster this Winter.

It's been a rough last month for our fallen heroes in the Atlanta Braves family... and we'll have to walk until next week to talk about the biggest loss yet.  In the meantime, we remember Don Sutton and then move into a discussion of the curious rumor that popped up this week.

The end of this week slows down off-season Hot Stove activity as arbitration numbers are exchanged... or arbitration-eligible players agree to terms... and (unusually) the International market signing period opens.
