This much rain in June? I hope that doesn’t mean we’re going to get none later. I think we’ve had about 10% of our annual precipitation in the last week.

Thunder early and everything is wet, but I put on my raincoat and went anyway. Talked about The Cat, yesterday’s rabbit hole (Diggy Diggy Hole), and needing a break which I’ll take when I have this story whipped into shape.

I talked about feeling pressured by getting up late (at 6am), progress on the Cat, and why I can’t abandon thousands of readers in KU for people who want me to leave Amazon because they hate the company.

I butchered the lyrics to Science Fiction, Double Feature. Mea Culpa. I talked too much about E E “Doc” Smith’s Triplanetary and 1930s science fiction.

Talked about the probabilities of risk as a writer. It’s ground I know I’ve covered before but it was top of mind today so that’s what I talked about. Again.

I talked about the Cat, my cat, bridges, abutments, and a little bit about School Days.

It didn’t look much like sunrise, but I was out just a couple of minutes past the official time. Mostly dark clouds and threatened rain. Very still morning and I found very little to say.

I caught a few late drips from the morning showers, but my internal weather feels bright and sunny this morning. I talked about the first day of release, the doctor visit (non-event), and the Cat a little.
