We continue our November Movie block with a review of 99’s football teen comedy drama Varsity Blues. In small town Texas we follow Mox (Van Der Beek), an up and coming high school football quarterback as he discovers that some things just go too far in an attempt to be the best of the best.

Join us today for the first episode of our November Football Season Block with a review of 2008’s Leatherheads. In this film we follow a reporter and two football players on a journey of love and the legitimization of professional football in the 1920’s.

Today is our final episode of this year's Spooky Season, with a review of 2005’s Cursed. Boastfully claiming that this film would reinvent the werewolf genre we go on a deep dive on the production hell that ultimately made this movie an absolute flop in the box office and a poor reception with audiences and critics alike. It is about a pair of siblings that are attacked and cursed by a werewolf and then must come to terms with their affliction and discover the identity of the monster that infected them before it’s too late.

Today we are reviewing and discussing the first Final Destination (March 17th, 2000), a film about a group of teens that escape Death only to be systematically hunted down in a series of elaborate traps and situations that ask: can we really ever escape our destiny?

Today is part two of our Spooky Season Horror movie review block with 98’s teen, sci fi, horror Disturbing Behavior! We follow a group of high school students that uncover a terrifying plot to turn all the “rebellious” teens of their high school into the “perfect and well behaved” children that follow the rules...and have incredibly violent, murderous tendencies.

Today we kick off with our Annual October Spooky Season Block! First review is '97's slasher flick I Know What You Did Last Summer, written by Kevin Williamson! A bunch of teenagers against a homicidal maniac?! Let’s go!

Holy shiny busts listeners! We are so excited for you all to join us for the very first annual presentation of the Mogwai Awards!!! This is our new annual event where at the beginning of every October we will be hosting an award show to go over the best, and worst, of the movies we reviewed over the last year. We each went through our episode list and picked what we believed to be worthy of the Gizmo (best of the best) and the Spike (worst of the worst) awards.
