Christ is our Passover lamb, who has been sacrificed for us, so that the angel of death - the wrath of God against sin - would pass over us: we have the blood that covers our sins (like the doorposts in Egypt being painted with the blood of the lamb). The Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.” This is done for rehabilitative purposes. In this way, the person will repent of what they are doing and change their actions before being allowed to return to fellowship.

Paul's message of wisdom.

A psalm of David, asking God to remember Him. (Nobody wants to be disrespected or made to feel like they are invisible.) I felt like I was invisible my whole life, always trying to get approval from 'the right people' or to find that 'perfect other' who would give me the validation I was hoping for. Maybe that will happen for you in life; maybe not. But God will never ignore or shun you! You can take that to the bank! David's psalm is as relevant in our day as it was for him after he had sinned against God and felt like he was in the void.

Paul gives thanks to God. The divisions in the church. If we are going to boast, let's boast in God because in and of ourselves, we don't have the spiritual strength and fortitude to get there on our own. Christ is the Wisdom of God Incarnate.
