Tomorrow's Legends

Hello Lantern Corps! We may be in 2026, but we dive into Hal Jordan's past. We see who and what shaped him into the man we know. We also investigate his relationship with Kerry and John.

Both Hal's father and grandfather were pilots and continued the legacy. Hal was taught to fight for and stand up for himself by his father. But for all the positive things passed down through the Jordan Boys there was something else. Hal's grandfather and father dealt with pain and depression. They each left a safe of things to pass down. They then took to the air and didn't return. They took their lives in ways that protected their families and legacy. Now we have an idea of why Hal was the way he was. He left a safe for John before he died. But he didn't leave a note, other than the Halogram.

This is John, Halogram and us questioning Hal's death. Did he kill himself and was it covered up by the murder angle. Or did he let someone he knew kill him to end the pain. We have questioned why he stopped backing up the Halogram in 2006. Could it be, he wanted to preserve himself before he slipped too much into the state we see him in during 2016?

The Halogram can evolve and grow and seeing the legacy Hal left behind was hard for him. But he was impressed with Kerry and the relationship Hal had with her. Hal even praises John for being able to project him with the ring off. They open the vault and find a go bag and a paper bag with a portable wormhole.

The wormhole takes them to the ruins of Antaan's planet. Zoe Manhunter caused a war between the people of the planet. A fear toxin was spread and people jumped off of their city in the air to their deaths. John spots an island and a canoe. The trip over is good for bonding between John and the Halogram. But the fear toxin gets to John. He almost kills himself but is stopped by the Halogram. They make it to the island and find Sinestro.

Hello Lantern Corps! 10 years have passed since the battle in Rushville. There is major fallout. Hal took the fall and has been in prison for all that time until recently. The Guardians created a new ring and made Guy Gardner the Green Lantern. The people who could leave Rushville did. The ones who stayed are bitter. John has reconciled with his brothers. He and his younger brother, Marcus, have started a successful architecture firm building saferooms and safe shelters for the crazy world.

John is about to close on a deal with his city and the military to build multiple shelters for the town. But his mom calls and convinces him Hal want to reconcile. John reluctantly heads to Rushville. Hal moved to Rushville. He has been dating Kerry and trying to make amends with the townspeople. But He didn't ask John to come. He is not going to apologize to him. He tells John not to let anyone know he was there.

John just gets home when he gets the call from Sherrif Kane that Hal is dead. He returns and hears from Kerry about Hal. He does not tell her or others he was there. But the waitress at the café knows. She was the little girl he handed her watch to after the battle. She seeks him out and wants reparations for the damage done to her family or she will tell about the meeting of Hal & John.

Hal has a storage unit with a voice activated box in it. They need his live voice to open it. John activated the Green Lantern signal to call Guy. He beats up Billy and other townies. His nice dinner with Kerry and Noah is interrupted and she must arrest him. Guy shows up and they talk. John says Guy owes him and he wants Hal in uniform and with his ring for the funeral.

Guy comes through. John reads the eulogy Hal wrote to a crowd of three, Kerry, Carol Ferris (Hal's former love), and himself. Later, John digs up Hal and takes the ring. He taps the ring and unlocks 5% and activated the Halogram to help him.

Hello Lantern Corps! Rushville is a battle zone. Zoe has unleased the satellites on the people to drain Hal's ring in protecting them. Antaan and his aliens are taking people down with weapons and by blowing themselves up.

The showdown of 2016 has come. Hal has had John call in the aliens and Hal sets them against Will Macon. Zoe knows it. She lets Will sacrifice his life for her. She heals John so he will turn over Hal.

Hal makes his way to Zoe and fights to get near her. Antaan comes to blow her up. But Hal takes him out. Hal flies the copter to the hotel to charge the ring. John and Hal fight and Hal is left as bait. John takes out Zoe.

He turns over Zoe's heart to Lianna. He then gives her the Lantern and the Ring turning down the job. Hal was addicted to it. John has never had a choice and now he chooses to walk away.

Hello Lantern Corps! Hal feels out of his depth and visits his mentor Sinestro for info on Manhunters. What he gets is a warning to watch and sabotage John Stewart. Lianna tells John the Guardians are done with Hal. John needs to say the oath while wearing the ring to become the Green Lantern.

Both men seem set against each other. But they still have a mission in Rushville. John finds Will's building at the center of his operation. The Weenie, a Disney term for the center of everything that gets built around, is where they think the Manhunter is at. After consulting Sheriff Kane, they make a nighttime move on the building. John gets the ring, pauses thinking about taking the oath, and then makes a tunneling machine. The two men get to The Weenie and find no Manhunter, but a lot of advanced tech. Hal sets off an alarm and Will's guards take them out with darkness guns.

They are taken to Will. He asserts his power over them. He forces John to draw him nude while Zoe and Hal watch. He tells them that he was dying and the doctors had given up on him, but not Zoe who was nursing him. The Manhunter healed him. He makes Rushville crops grow, the kids healthy, and everyone for that matter. All that is asked in return is protection. Will tells them to leave town.

Zoe comes to John at the hotel. After sleeping with him, she asks him to leave and he refuses. She says she does not owe Will. She healed him. Revealing that she is the Manhunter. She leaves and is taken out by a satellite. Hal gets the satellite. John, Hal, and Sheriff Kane trace it back the Hector Hammond.

At Hector's high tech/Manhunter tech slaughterhouse, they find Hector. He threatens John's family. Hal proves he is not the Manhunter. Hector says it is Will. On the way back, Hal and John hash things out. But in the end Hal listens to Sinestro's advice and sidelines John.

Hello Lantern Corps! We have jumped onboard the Waverrider and followed the life of John Stewart and his family. They man has been raised like no other to be the man he is today.

True to the comic origin, the ring visited several people before choosing Hal Jordan. Here we learn that the ring visited John Sr. The fears of being there for his family and being a black man in society caused him to be passed over. His wife, Bernadette, does not believe him until Lianna shows up. She is a Guardian in disguise. She offers a huge diamond in compensation for the loss of the ring. But her conversation with Bernadette helps her to learn why John Sr. has fear in his heart. She hints that John Jr. could be a Lantern if raised right.

Bernadette and John Sr. begin training John not to have fear. He is separated from society and even his brothers. He is repeatedly tested by having apples shot off his head. He is dropped in the ghetto and must find his way home. He is told the birds are spies for the Guardians. Bernadette tries to communicate with the Guardians. John makes the mission his own. He follows his father into the Marine Corps and becomes an expert sniper. He spends 9 months on mission, only to have Hal Jordan ruin it. He takes the blame on behave of the U.S. government and is dishonorably discharged.

He is drifting until Bernadette enrolls him in art school. He has always had a talent for art and incredible skill. But it has taken a backseat to his training. At school he is approached by a Guardian in disguise and asked to draw the building from memory. He does it with the skill of a gifted artist and architect. He is then given a Green Lantern ring and asked to create his dad's watch. He creates a working copy.

The interview really starts as he is portaled to an abandoned mall. He is forced to wait overnight by Lianna. She then questions him about his past, his mission that was ruined by Hal and much more. She finds in him the perfect candidate to replace Hal Jordan. They Lanterns can't control him and he is too close to Sinestro.

Hal meets John's parent about training before John can get there. John is there to replace Hal and Hal thinks he is training John.

It's that awful time again when our show comes to a season end. At least it's just a season end as we have two more seasons coming at least....

The finale of S2 continues the story through line of Rogue and Gambit, as the the teams all come to a head against each other in an epic final battle. Can she get through to him while Apocalypse has taken over? What will she have to sacrifice in order to save him? That ends up not even being her choice as someone else steps in to make the sacrifice for her......and we're left in shock and tears once again....

Hello Lantern Corps! The action this week was between two towns instead of time periods. We had some mysteries answered but more questions raised. Join us as we cover Lanterns "Trust Fall."

Hal rudely awakens Jon for a flying lesson. The instructions are fly. John does not even move. But he creates a live bird construct from the ring. Hal has already booked him a plane ticket to Coast City to pick up the Lantern to charge the ring up. So all he really wanted to do was get John out of town. With John gone, he heads to main street finding everyone in a town hall. After a disagreement with Sheriff Kane, and a request to leave town from his lawyer, he heads to the morgue. He steals all the alien bodies. He has found out that the metal detectors are really alien detectors. He does not listen to Sheriff Kane and questions Will about the tech and targeting aliens. He is told to leave town, but refuses and gets shot. He is taken to the hospital and questioned by Kerry after he wakes up from surgery. The hospital is brand new and has no other people there being treated.

John is followed to Coast City and to Hal's mansion. A rich guy gave it to him for saving his son, but it is barely lived in. John recovers the lantern from the pocket dimension and feeds John's alien plant Earl. But he is kidnapped by the aliens. They are led by Antaan or is it Atrocitus the future Red Lantern. Their planet was devastated by Manhunters. Manhunters are shapeshifting robots made by the Guardians. After they failed, the Guardians moved to create the Lantern Corps. The aliens are in town because they believe Abin Sur had a Manhunter with him when he crashed. The believe he is hiding in town. They give John an ultimatum, let them know the identity of the Manhunter or they blow up the town.

John reports all this to Hal. He also still has his bird construct with him. A feat that takes a lot of will power. Hal files to the Lantern prison to ask rebel Green Lantern, Sinestro, about the Manhunters. He says they are the 2nd biggest threat Hal is facing.

It's the penultimate episode of X-Men '97 season two!

Rogue once again is the center of everything that's going on, and it's all because Gambit is back! But it's not as we know him, now he's full of dark magic energy, and has one goal, to bring immortality to Rogue so they can be together forever, no matter what it takes.

Cable is on a single mission. To take down Apocalypse at all costs, even if it means betraying his parents, Scott and Jean. And his target? Gambit.

Hello Lanter Corps! We have heard the call for help and landed in Rushville Nebraska. It's a good thing the Waverrider can travel in time. Because it looks like there are mysteries in two different eras. We are here to help the Lanterns with both! In 2016 veteran Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, is reluctantly training John Stewart. John was chosen by the Guardians (leaders of the Lanterns) to be the next Green Lantern. This is not how it usually goes and Hal is not exactly happy. Hal is an Airforce vet and used to doing things on his on and in his own style. John is a Marine Corps vet and son of a vet. He is used to structure and leadership.

Their training is interrupted when a mass casualty event brings them to Rushville. Hal knows that aliens are at the heart of the issue. But he must convince Sheriff Kane and John. Aliens are there but so is a militia headed by Kane's father-in-law, Will Macon.

We jump to 2026. John has been called by Sheriff Kane back to Rushville. It is Winter and a frozen and dead Hal Jordan is sitting in the football stands. He does not have his Lantern ring, and it has not gone to John. Mysteries abound and you are left to question everyone and everyone's motives. Join us as we explore it all!

It's a trial of heart this week as we see Nightcrawler fighting for his half brother, Graydon Creed, during a trial against mutants on the island of Savage Land. This is a stand out episdoe for Kurt Wagner, as we being to understand what he's all about, and how strong his faith is, and what he's willing to do to give someone a second chance.

Colossus also joins the cast and the team as he has to decide which side he wants to represent!
