Gerald Weston - TVCA1505 - What is most important to you? Is it your politics, career or family? What is the most important thing in your life? Many profess one thing, but their actions tell a very different story. For some, the pursuit of fun and pleasure is seen as the ultimate motivator. Is there a lasting goal that we should be striving for?

Gerald Weston - TVCA1504 - In 2018, U.S. President Donald Trump made headlines for blasting several members of NATO for spending less than 2% of their national GDP on defense. Less than 10 years later, these nations have agreed to more than double their spending. Committing to invest 5% of GDP to defense at the 2025 NATO Summit in the Hague. Rebuilding these once proud militaries will take time. But the trajectory is clear, and you need to know where it is leading!

When was the last time you took a trip to the zoo? What about an afternoon at a marine park to be entertained by dolphins and seals? The late fellow evangelist and Tomorrow’s World telecast presenter Richard Ames and his wife once paid us a visit when we lived near Toronto, Canada. While there, we stopped at a Butterfly Conservatory near Niagara Falls and I must confess, I’d driven by it numerous times without feeling a tug on the steering wheel to turn in. However, we all found it more interesting than I expected, especially the butterfly that liked sitting on my shoulder.

It doesn’t matter where you look, our world is filled with beautiful, amazing, strange, and fascinating life forms: giant elephants, long-necked giraffes, or sure-footed mountain goats. Each one is uniquely and marvelously designed. There is seemingly no end to the variety of birds: eagles, vultures, ducks and geese, parrots, and doves. Then there are reptiles: snakes, lizards, crocodiles, and turtles, to name a few. What about amphibians? And we haven’t even considered the incredible variety of fish and other sea creatures.

This program doesn’t give me enough time to mention all the varied life forms seen in the air, on land, and in the waters. There is also the huge subject of plant life. Some maintain that all living flora and fauna are the result of blind chance through evolutionary processes, but the more we learn about life, the more scientists and laymen are coming to conclude that it is mathematically and logically impossible for life to be the result of chance.

But none of this would be possible without the dirt beneath our feet. To put it in grander terms, how did the universe get here? Astronomers and cosmologists have been forced to conclude that matter had a beginning. So, whether one refers to it as the big bang, the cosmic expansion, or something else, a beginning means there was a time when matter did not exist. How then did the universe come to be? On this Tomorrow’s World program, I’m going to focus on one tiny bird that hovers in the face and stares down Charles Darwin.

Stuart Wachowicz - TVCA1503 - In ancient Greece, physicians took an oath as they began their medical career. A form of the Hippocratic oath has been used for North American doctors for several decades. It includes the prohibition of giving "a deadly drug to anyone who asks for it." We can see that this promise is no longer very compatible with the social demands and expectations of today's society. As general healthcare practices, government legislations and public opinion change to allow, support and even encourage the practice of Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID), how should a Christian respond to this increasingly common practice?

We are living in increasingly stressful and distressing times. It seems that, in every way we can imagine, the world is becoming more unstable, more dangerous, and more morally confused.

In fact, things are so bad that surveys show even many who have never cracked open a Bible in their lives are beginning to wonder--are we living in the end-times?

At the same time, the world has seen difficulties before: World wars, famines, plagues. How can we distinguish between the usual times of difficulty and hardship, and the true end of days as prophesied by the Bible? Is it possible to know?

God’s word says that it is, and today, we’re going to show you how. Join us today on Tomorrow’s World as we reveal “Five Prophetic Signs of the End-Times.”

Our world is suffering. Soldiers endure the stress and violence of war. Innocent civilians are displaced or brutalized, caught between warring factions. Homes are destroyed, lives are disrupted, families are torn apart.

Even in countries free from armed conflicts, many people suffer from drug abuse, alcohol addiction, broken homes, and physical or sexual abuse. For some, their home life is filled with daily, silent suffering.

Millions more endure the effects of failed crops from extreme weather. Blistering heat; torrential rains; water supplies that are unreliable and contaminated; food shortages from failed crops. Electricity outages and infrastructure failures.

Our world is suffering. Far too many people live their lives from one agonizing moment to the next… With little relief in sight.

And so, many wonder, Why all the suffering? Especially, why do basically caring and loving people who really do try to treat their families and neighbors well… Why do they suffer, too?

These are important questions. And they are questions that deserve real answers. The Bible is the only place where we really find the truth about the big questions of life… and what comes at the end of this life. Because that’s a source of worry and internal torment for many as well. We’ll explore all of that on today’s program.

Gerald Weston - TVCA1501 - Jesus came to die the penalty for our sins. But what does that mean? The answer to this question may shock you. It can be found by studying one of the most famous passages in the entirety of scripture—John 3:16. Often referred to as ‘the Golden verse,’ this passage includes information vital to answering some of the most complex questions related to the Bible.

Many Christians passionately believe in the hope of the Rapture--the belief that before the terrors of the Great Tribulation descend upon the world, Christians around the globe will suddenly and mysteriously vanish, “raptured away” by Christ, as they are taken up into heaven to wait out the terrible events of that prophesied time of devastation and destruction. Meanwhile, those “left behind” must face the forces of the Antichrist and the Beast of Revelation, and all the suffering that those years will bring until Jesus Christ returns to finally settle the score.

Millions of people worldwide look forward to the Rapture as the culmination of their hopes and dreams.

But is this what the Bible actually teaches? Or should we expect end-time events to be very different?

Stuart Wachowicz - TVCA1502 - Throughout mankind’s history, illness, depression, crime, and war have been thought of as unfortunate but normal. Considerations of global societies where none of these problems exist are often dismissed as fanciful tales of ‘utopia.’ ‘Utopia’ usually refers to an imaginary state, not something that could happen in the real world. The Bible contains many prophecies of a time when conditions on the earth will lack the unpleasant realities we now consider normal. Explore the better world that will soon replace our present world order.

The mishandling of student protests over Israel’s war in Gaza brought about the resignation of three Ivy League University Presidents in 2023 and 2024: Liz Magill of the University of Pennsylvania, Claudine Gay of Harvard, and Minouche Shafik of Columbia University. A fourth Ivy League President, Cornell’s Martha Pollack, also resigned, but claimed that she was considering stepping down prior to the protests. Strong calls were also made for Sally Kornbluth of MIT to resign amid the protests.

Something that struck me at the time was that all five of these prestigious university presidents were women. This is not to say that the same would not have happened had men been in charge at the time, but it surprised me how much women were taking over the ranks of university education.

For more perspective, not including interim presidents, the eight schools that make up the Ivy League have had 173 top leaders in their histories. During their long and distinguished histories, it was not until 1977 when Yale’s Hanna Gray became the first female to hold that position in an Ivy League school. Maurie McInnis now holds that position.

But since Hanna Gray, the top positions have increasingly gone to women—15 altogether. Why such a turnaround? What does it mean? At the end of this Tomorrow’s World telecast, I’ll show you how one woman led Israel to victory when masculinity was a matter of question and seemingly in short supply. I’ll also show you that the turnaround that we see in today’s western society was prophesied 2,700 years ago in the pages of the Bible.
