🎧 Just a couple of years ago, everyone was dancing to Melodic Techno and Afro House. Today, however, indie dance is increasingly appearing on lineups. Why is this genre experiencing such a massive boom right now? 🚀

It’s not just about trends.

✨ After years of a perfectly "polished" electronic sound, people are craving music with character again. Music that isn't so predictable or "by the book"—music with mood, emotion, and even a touch of chaos.

🎹 That’s exactly what indie dance is all about.

It takes 80s analog synths, 🎛️ disco basslines, and 🎸 post-punk energy, then blends them with modern house and electro—creating a sound that feels both fresh and familiar.

💃 Another reason is that the club scene grew tired of the endless race for speed. When tempos keep rising and tracks start sounding the same, you just want to dance rather than compete with the BPM. Indie dance brings back that groove: deep, driving, and hypnotic.

📱 And, of course, social media played a role. Today, tracks with atmosphere, unique vocals, and a memorable vibe come out on top—making indie dance the perfect soundtrack for a new generation of parties.

➖ Downtempo—deep, meaningful electronics with live instrumentals. It's a journey, not a road from point A to point B.

I tried to combine electronic sounds with the breath of live instruments. This is my vision of how these styles can speak to us today.

This is a journey that encompasses both gentle sadness and vibrant joy. Turn it on when you want to reset, relax, release pent-up emotions, smile, reflect on something important, or just dream.

So, another year of music, as I've performed it, comes to an end. It's worth noting that there was still plenty of quality music, despite the emergence of a huge amount of AI-generated material.

This year's finale will be Organic House. It's more than just a musical genre. It's an entire philosophy that combines deep, meditative rhythms and "live" sounds.

The music is built on acoustic instruments (kalimba, violin, vibraphone) and natural sounds, not just synthesizers. The rhythm is often set by percussion in the vein of African drums (bongos, congas).

While this type of music was already featured at festivals like Burning Man in 2017, the term "Organic House" was officially coined in June 2020 by Beatport to highlight this genre.

It's a slower, more melancholic version of house music that immerses you in a state of reflection and peace. Leading artists include Lee Burridge, Sébastien Léger, Oliver Koletzki, and Roy Rosenfeld. Labels like All Day I Dream, Cafe De Anatolia, Hoomidaas, and Rubicunda set the tone for the entire genre.

I invite you to delve into my vision of this music. It's especially gratifying that half the set consists of tracks by our own artists.
