Tony Popovic has been named new coach of the Socceroos, replacing Graham Arnold who resigned last week after the team’s lacklustre performances in world cup qualifiers earlier this month.

Popovic's contract will see him lead the Socceroos at the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico, should they qualify.

And on that note, there is still a lot of work to be done.
