San Francisco based artist Tony Turntup is releasing an album on LA label Avocaudio 10/18/2016. Titled Twerk Tales, Tony Turnt it all the way up to ten tunes, ranging between 100-115 BPM to get the booties bouncing.

Encompassing sounds from across the spectrum, old skool techno and hip hop stabs punctuate up-front dance floor bangers. From the warehouse to the Trap house, the beats tell Twerk Tales to the dance floor. Snares crack like whips, while fat kicks punch through 808 sub thats overdriven like a supercharged V12. Trippy arpeggios glimmer and entwine with Purple-tinged square wave leads as big brass stabs radiate around dubbed out vocals, catchy hooks, and machine gun hi-hats. It pays homage to the sounds of the 80's and 90's, while staying fresh and modern.

Naturally, the album includes a special shout out to the Bay Area he calls home, be sure to peep “Go Dumb” to get hyphy like it’s a sideshow.

I forgot how much I enjoyed hard techy house on a big sound system. This tune is for the blacklights and big sound systems in the middle of nowhere, and reminiscent of dark and dirty warehouses in the city. Inspired by my first visit to that thing in the desert, written in collaboration with my partner in crime Gaia. Shut up and DANCE already!
