Intro trailer
Gary Hooser formerly represented Kauai and Niihau in the Hawaii State Senate where he served as Majority Leader, he also previously served for 8 years on the Kauai County Council (check out garyhooser.com!). He joins me to discuss his communities' fight against powerful chemical companies as they ask for more transparency and regulations. He also leaves us with a call to action- we cannot sit idly by.
Though many have differing opinions, there is no one solution to the threat that climate change- influenced heavily by agriculture and livestock production- has on our existence. This trailer provides a sneak peak into the story behind corporate consolidation in the agriculture sector and how it has caused the massive increase in intensive inputs used across the world today. Together we will explore the benefits and harms of agriculture chemicals, why they're being used so widely, agroecology techniques, hopes for the future and demands for the present.
