As discussed in the last episode with Kiko, this follow up episode goes more into Kiko's massive Kiss collection. Kiko shares some of the stories behind some of the items he has, and what it took to get some of those items. All of the collectors out there of any type of pop culture will be able to relate to this episode!
This episode, Jon finally gets a chance to talk to Kiko Riojas again since meeting recently in Mexico. Owner of the Kiss Lounge, Kiko grew up in the music business and has a lot of history to share! We got a chance to discuss how he came to know Gene Simmons, and his path to the opening of the Kiss Lounge. A second part to this conversation is also in the works to discuss all the Kiss memorabilia he's collected over the years and has on display at the Kiss Lounge, so stay tuned!
Long time friend Clint Hoskins, owner of local Evansville, IN arcade bar High Score Saloon, joins Jon this episode, where they discuss some of the different intricacies and challenges of dealing with business ownership, banter about different types of job experiences, social media, and other things. Every time these two get together to catch up always seems like it would fit well on a podcast episode, so it's nice to finally make it happen. Thanks as always for hanging!
This episode brings you all the latest happenings in the world of Jon, ranging from the current falconry season, latest contract, and other goings on! Thanks as always for coming to hang!
After a long break, Jon riffs about the current state of healthcare, the current falconry season, and other odds and ends. Yes, Jon forgot that the volume was turned up some in the speakers while recording this episode. No, he's not sorry :) Happy holidays everyone!
In this solo episode, Jon talks a little bit about the latest life happenings, including his trip to the UK for his falconry podcast, the latest with work, and other endeavors during some downtime on the morning of his 16th wedding anniversary. Never a dull moment in this life!
In this episode, Jon was once again fortunate enough to be able to get some time with another rep from another company he endorses to discuss different topics in the music business. This time, Pete with Morley was the one nice enough to share some of his thoughts on what the company looks for when working with prospective musicians and artists on the roster, as well as his experiences in the music industry. This is another great episode for musicians looking for valuable info on building relationships with companies, so enjoy!
In this episode, Jon was able to coordinate a time to have a chat with a rep from another one of the companies he endorses. During the conversation, E. Pruitt from Bartolini was nice enough to discuss some of his background as a musician, some of his history working for other companies, and more valuable insight straight from another artist relations perspective as to how you can develop relationships with companies as a musician. Definitely more cool stuff you won't want to miss out on, especially if you're another musician trying to make their way in the world!
This episode is a continuation of the nostalgia from the Conservatory days. Joe listened in to the last episode with our other friend and classmate, Bart Moser, and he had to weigh in as well. There's some more good stories and takeaways from this conversation, so enjoy!
This episode is a flashback to 2001-2002, when Jon attended the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences shortly after graduating high school. As mentioned briefly in a recent episode, it's been 20 years since finishing the program at the Conservatory, so Jon wanted to revisit some nostalgia from those days and catch up with former classmate and fellow musician Bart Moser. There's a lot of fun memories with this guy and it was fun catching up with him, so hope you enjoy!
