Worm Quartet's 2001 release "Stupid Video Game Music" included a song called "Too Fat For The Pit," a tale of my enthusiastic-but-not-necessarily-appreciated participation in mosh pits at the point of my life where I weighed over 300 pounds. My journey to a less-terrifying girth has been well-documented, and as such that song hasn't been part of my repertoire for quite some time, but it occurred to me a while back (specifically after I bruised my ribs at an Anthrax/Killswitch Engage show and took entirely too long to heal) that I could update the lyrics to describe a new problem. Either great minds think alike or this is a very obvious idea, because two different friends of mine (namely Seriah Azkath of the "Last Exit For The Lost" radio show on WVBR in Ithaca, NY and The FuMP's own Devo Spice) both suggested the exact same update after I'd already started writing it. So here, from the new Worm Quartet album "Carpe Tedium" (available for streaming everywhere, with physical pre-orders on my Bandcamp page) is exactly that. My son does a cameo as the kid asking me to buy him beer. Music and Lyrics by Timothy F. Crist Tim "Shoebox" Crist - Vocals / Programming / Keytar Stephen Crist - Guest vocals
