Beep bop beepbeep boop! That was futuretalk for hello. This week on Toonhounds we got in our magical car and timetraveled to the far off year of 2001 to watch some cartoons about the future. First up is another of those shows we expected to be a lot worse, Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century. Then a show that we've been trying to watch for ages but couldn't think of a theme, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.

The stage has been set, the contestants are in their seats, the GRAND TOONAMENT is about to begin! The toons have been waiting for this moment their entire lives, the moment we find out what is the GREATEST cartoon ever featured on Toonhounds? Using an incredibly partial panel of handsome, beautiful judges, the cartoons were put through their limits in a series of tasks and events to determine the one true winner.

But then we ignored all that, and basically just come up with the winners on the fly.

Boo!! Scared ya. This week we're watching some good ol' fashioned spooky cartoons, the Beetlejuice cartoon from 1989 and The Addams Family from 1992!

This week we watched the fastest thing around, the blue blur, quicky magoo himself, Sonic The Hedgehog. A series of which Spivzy knows enough to get by, and Rich knows absolutely nothing.

We watched SatAM and Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog, and had a good old time!

One of them was Cats Don't Dance, a movie that dares to lie directly to your face in the title. The other was Bad Cat, a movie that is so aptly named that I had to put a trigger warning into the episode.

Howdy toonfans! This time around we watched the new Batman series from Batman: The Animated Series' Bruce Timm, celebrated comics writer Ed Brubaker, The Batman director Matt Reeves, and also JJ Abrams was there too.

Caped Crusader is a noir-inspired take on the Batman mythos, with a lot of easter eggs and references to past properties and the film industry as a whole, so if you know us you'll probably know how this episode is gonna go.
