Recently, the US National Weather Service Flagstaff shared information about the Top 10 Wettest and Driest Monsoons since recordkeeping began. The graphic they shared included the monsoons for Flagstaff, Prescott, and Payson. In Prescott, the wettest year was in 2014 with 18.23 inches while the City's driest was 2020 with only 2.27 inches. Flagstaff report 20 inches in 1986 as its wettest year while 2020 it reported only 1.78 inches as its driest. Payson's wettest year was reported in 2021 and its driest in 1979 with only 2.9 inches.
