He may still face his toughest battle yet after being called back to the Top Gun academy. After 36 years, audiences were finally bestowed a sequel to Top Gun, and what a sequel it was. Grossing almost 1.5 billion dollars and the number one movie in the world in 2022, Top Gun: Maverick lived up to its hype and potential.
