Top Guy Theater

This week we once again go back to 1989 and revisit the beginning of the Flair/Steamboat trilogy.  We watch this show in honor of our Top Guy Weekend trip to Chicago. Well by the time you watch this, we will be long back from that trip. We watch the entire show and go down so many rabbit holes that I just can't remember them all for this description.  RJ talks about his POD Ring Side rant and lets us know all the incredible things he has scheduled.  Mandik is back and in rare form as always and Henry pops in after work to tell Phil how he really feels about the Ultimate Warrior........wrong company Henry.  AND A WAY WE GOOOOOOOOOO!!

You all know Christy from her work with Eric Bischoff but sis you know she worked for NXT?  Likes Trash TV? and loves Pro Wrestling!?  This women is amazing and now you can find out why. This week we cover one of the greatest comeback stories in WWE history!  HBK's return at SummerSlam 2002 and yes Frank is writing this so there is a bias.  Joining us is someone you know as the Cupcake girl, but her real name is Lindsey and she is an AFS My Push member. This is what we love about this show, we get to meet new and interesting people from all across the tiers of AFS. We are just restricted to Top Guys, we want to get to know you all.  We get to learn that there is a new Miss Elizabeth brewing in Lindsey's home and we learn all about Frank's crush on this beautiful accounting guru. Lindsey shares her wrestling story with us and we learn about an ominous development coming to Frank's little beach town. As always Henry Maps It and Brandi shares a rather Bobbit like story with us during Tell Me Brandi.  HMMMMMMM  Now you just have to watch, AND A WAY WE GOOOOOOOO

This week we are joined by former WWE star Dylan Postl otherwise known as Hornswoggle!  This episode was hosted by Phil Jackson who steered the ship very nicely in Frank's absence, which WAS NOT BECAUSE HE WAS ON HIS HONEYMOON, FRANK IS NOT MARRIED! Dylan discusses how the pandemic affected him, his school, and the moment he found out he was Vince McMahon's son. He discusses the fun he has while under the ring and what its like to have the headset on while under there. We also get a surprise run in from Swoggle's future wife! OHHHHH MYYYYYY. Karl tries not to wet himself as he bonds with Swoggle over those Green Bay Packers.  Brandi is on location is the greatest city in the nation, Boston, as she recovers from having her face blown off by Green Day. Henry gets high praise from Swoggle for his ever popular segment known as MAP IT.  Come along for this epic ride, and AWAY WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

This week we are joined by an incredible Top Gal and lover of a Sad News Bear! (see what I did there?) Alison Faye, real life rocket scientist, joins us to discuss her love of pro wrestling, Roddy Piper and Brotha Loooovvvveeee!  We had so much fun with absolutely no filter. Alison is as real as it gets and its absolutely refreshing.  Henry explains how Prime Time is "Mapped" out and we find out thet Phil has some very healing hands. Brandi discusses her up coming trip to the great city of Boston and Frank, well he's just kind of there.  So is Henry a smaller version of Hillbilly Jim?  Do the Bushwackers really not use deodorant? This week we have an OG Top Guy with us making his TGT return after a length absence.  It's the COACH!!! Coach Rosey from Arizona joins us to cover the 2013 Royal Rumble, or as Frank sys, the night that began the exit of CM Punk from WWE. This week we cover one of Frank's all time favorite show's, ITS TIME TO FEEL THE HEAT!!!!.  Ladies and Gentlemen, it's SUMMERSLAM 1989!!!!!! Joining us is Adam O'Neill from across the Atlantic Ocean in Ireland as we relive this classic summertime event and it's the event that inspired our new open.  Also stopping by is the creator of TGT and new Host of the incredible podcast Filter Free Pop Cast, TJ Stephens.  We talk sports, we talk about Brandi's love for Nick Gage and Frank's distain for him.  All of that and so  much more and AWAY WE GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

This week we explore the less talked about JCP vs WWF war.  We go back to the Greensboro Coliseum to witness the very FIRST, Clash of the Champions.  This was from March 27, 1988, that date sound familiar?  It was also the same night that the Macho Man Randy Savage captured his first World Wrestling Federation Championship defeating Ted Debiase at WrestleMania 4. The Clash was a little counter programming by JCP as a quick middle finger to Vince for all his dirt tactics the previous year. As always the Professor comes in hot full of knowledge for all things NWA.  As usual Frank is schooled cause he is a WWF guy.  Henry comes in with an incredible Map It and well Phil, he Phil's us In.  We also talk about something that is going to make Frank go Broke, Wrestling Coins!!!  Strap in and relax.....and away we GOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
