Top Marks

It's all about the questions on this bite-size mini-sode of Top Marks, as the #goodfriends work to recreate the magic of last week's Mailbag after it was destroyed by technical difficulties.

Something went wrong this week. I really can't explain it, but we lost the final 30 minutes of the episode to a weird technical glitch that I have never seen in close to 300 podcast recording sessions. So we lost all of the listener questions and a great deal of comedy as well, but I still think you'll enjoy this as the #goodfriends dive into the big three stories of the week. And they are:

1. Roman Reigns' announcement. We're still reeling after the Big Dog revealed his battle with leukemia but try to assess what it means for him as a character should he return to the ring, and what this means for a company that has largely been built around him for the last five years. 2. Mean Dean Turns Heel. After years of waiting, Dean Ambrose has finally gone bad. Where does he go from here? We discuss. 3. WWE Evolution preview. We go over the card for WWE's first-ever women's only PPV.

And then we get cut off by technical difficulties. You'll never know why this episode is called Because For Why. It just is.

Sorry it's late, but that just means you have less time to wait for the next episode! The #goodfriends return for another three round episode discussing the biggest stories in wrestling... from last week, anyway. And they are:

1. Bound For Glory 2018 Review. We breakdown Impact's latest, and debate whether the Austin Aries situation is a work or a shoot. 2. SmackDown 1000! We go over the events of the blue brand's big anniversary show, including an in-depth discussion of how Batista is dope. 3. Crown Jewel! Why WWE might feel like they have to go through with the latest Saudi Arabia event, and why they absolutely should not.

All that plus listener questions! You love the listener questions! It's always been your favourite!

The #goodfriends get back at it after a big week in wrestling -- a week so big it demands a return to the format, as we tackle last weekend's big shows round by round. Plus, Josh gets Justin to open up about Real Good Show coming to an end... But anyway, rounds. What are they this week? Glad you asked:

1. WWE Super Show-Down Raw Review: We tackle Saturday's show from the MCG in Melbourne from the red brand's perspective. 2. NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2018 Review: New Japan's latest card was an eventful one, but was it as unpredictable as fans are making it out to be? 3. WWE Super Show-Down SmackDown Review: Finally, we loop back to WWE's Australian supershow from the blue brand's side of things, with some quality on the undercard but a dud at the top.

Plus more of your questions, and a review of Venom.

The #goodfriends return with another No Holds Barred episode as they're breaking all the rules. It's the kind of anything goes attitude that you might see, I don't know, in the 2000s British music scene? Oasis! Ever heard of 'em? I didn't think so. Anyway, we get you all set up for Super Show-Down and discuss how the return of all these old farts is killing interest in the current product and putting the ratings in the tank. We got a classic segment this week, but did anyone watch it? And our friend Flash Morgan Webster stops by to discuss the British Invasion.

The #goodfriends are back, and they're breaking all the rules with another No Holds Barred episode. Topics include why fans won't cheer for Charlotte, Brie Bella's botches, Gedo turning on Okada, and a must-see match from this week's action that you probably haven't heard about... All that, plus a bevy of listener questions and an actual piece of listener mail, as Josh receives a package from Tranquilo Pacheco himself!

The #goodfriends are back with our review of Hell In A Cell and a career send-off for Matt Hardy! Sorry the episode is a week late, but we've been a little busy feuding with a member of Bullet Club. This week's rounds:

1. Hell In A Cell - Raw: We break down the PPV from a red brand's perspective, including a controversial finish in the main event. 2. Matt, we Hardy knew ye: Broken Matt says goodbye, and we look back on his in-ring career. 3. Hell In A Cell - SmackDown: Looking at the PPV from the blue brand's point of view, with a big title change and some crackling matches.

The #goodfriends are back to... preview this week's PPV? That can't be right. There's a PPV this weekend? You'd never know it by the way TV played out this week... The road to the cell has been hell, but what might the show itself have in store? We do a deep dive into the announced card and preview Hell In A Cell 2018, a show that is pretty barren on the Raw side but has a lot going on for the blue brand.

The #goodfriends reunite after a J-Mo's All In trip to talk all about the biggest indie show in history. We'd hoped to sneak a little Braun Strowman discussion into the mix as well but it was all All In all the time, with an enormous card to break down. And we ask you: Which card was better, All In or WrestleKingdom 12?

I'm posting this dang thing during my vacation so you guys better like it! Also the #goodfriends recorded this before Monday's Raw, so the fact that we theorized the exact way Raw went off the air this week before dismissing it out of hand as "too ridiculous" and "makes no sense" is just a coincidence. This week's rounds:

1. Shield reunion! Why it's happening, if it's happened too many times, if the moment is gone, who they should feud with, and who should turn. 2. ALL IN preview! We go through the card, breaking down every match on All In in advance of Saturday's show. 3. ALL IN overtime! The preview continues...

We answer as many listener questions as we can before we run out of time.
