Publisher's Summary:
A mysterious child with uncanny abilities. A deadly threat to dominant religions. A prey to merciless secret organizations. An unimaginable origin that unfolds within the bowels of hell.
Theon E. Rex is no ordinary boy. Discovered as an infant in a symbol-riddled well near Manor Clos Lucé, Leonardo Da Vincis former residence, he soon manifests extraordinary powers ranging from the stunning to the devastating, attracting the attention of the Vatican and other powerful organizations bent on exploiting or destroying him. Terrified the secret behind his mysterious origins will reduce biblical doctrine to ashes and crush his empire, the Pope himself orders his death.
Even Satan has designs on Theon. Hells fury descends upon him as the Dragon Lord whisks the boy prodigy to his infernal realm, determined to weaponize him and bring destruction and desolation to the Kingdom of Heaven... and to Earth. Of all the echoes - restored human souls - roaming heaven and hell, Leonardo Da Vinci comes to Theons aid, helped by Satans crossbred daughter and other unlikely allies.
A frantic race ensues across hell and into heaven in hopes of finding a cure to Theons explosive curse. But a misguided God swears the boy will not cross heaven's borders. What they discover about his origins, no one - neither Da Vinci nor even God himself - could have imagined.

Holey Moley!
Daoust pretty much has it all:
-a complex storyline written simply, but covering some complex topics;
-multiple timelines; ranging from 37,000 years ago, to 2,000 years ago, and modern day;
-writing that is part spoof, comedy, supernatural, parody, mystery, farce, thriller, science fiction....and even poetic ;-)
-he covers religion, science, politics, history, mysticism, justice, gambling, treachery, incest, redemption.
Theres so much going on that Ive been relistening to several parts, many times, before giving any review.
I think the only thing missing is Christopher Moore challenging Dan Brown to bowling with frozen turkeys at the Safeway.
If youre very impatient, or very religious, this may not be for you.
If you enjoy creativity, this one is worth checking out.
CH Norman delivers the right voice to carry off this book: mature adult male with an element of Edward R Murrows reporting nous; but also the narrator from the Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoons.

This was a very interesting book. It was very reminiscent of De Vinci Code, with a whole lot of paranormal and X Files thrown in. It is thought provoking and well narrated. I think it is definitely worth a listen.
A lot of work went into this book
If you could sum up The Boy Who Set Fire to the Bible in three words, what would they be?
A look at the history of man and good and evil. from the point of view from Heaven and hell.
