Resurrection is at the heart of the Christian faith. This week, Pastor Connor takes us on a journey through Matthew's account of the resurrection. He talks about how this event demonstrates that Jesus is God, changes everything about our lives, and addresses our very deepest needs. If the resurrection is true and Jesus is King, then we are left with one vital decision: Will we choose to be part of His kingdom, or will we reject it?

The Passover crowds were looking for a deliverer, a son of David who would rise up and throw off the shackles of Roman oppression. So imagine their disappointment when Jesus entered Jerusalem peacefully on the back of a gentle donkey. They didn’t recognize Him as the king they’d been waiting for. We can have the same problem they did: We look to Jesus for help or comfort without also recognizing Him as our king or accepting that His way can be hard to follow. In this Palm Sunday message, Pastor Connor talks about the importance of receiving Jesus as He actually is, as well as some practical ways we can do that.

For thousands of years, the Jewish people have kept the feast of Passover to remember their deliverance from slavery in Egypt. This feast has deep meaning for Christians, as well. This week, Aaron Abramson, CEO of Jews for Jesus, talks about seeing Christ in the Passover. In the breaking of the bread and the Cup of Redemption, we see God’s plan for setting us free and giving us new life in Jesus.

Like Moses, Joshua had reached the end of his journey with the people of God. And like Moses, Joshua left them with a life-defining choice. This week, Pastor Connor concludes our series on Joshua with the showdown at Shechem: Would the Israelites choose to serve Yahweh, or the false gods of Ur, Egypt, and Canaan? This choice had eternal consequences for the people of Joshua’s day, and it does for us, too. 

Last words are a big deal. This week, Pastor Connor looks at Joshua’s farewell address to the leaders of Israel. One particular message was so important that Joshua repeated it three times: God has kept His promises to you in amazing ways! But be careful; if you turn away from Him, you’ll experience the wrath He warned you of.
