Techtober is in full swing as OnePlus, Apple, Samsung, and Google have all revealed their phones for the holiday season. Although usually, this is the time where major flagships are announced, many companies have decided to go for the mid-range market. Today, instead of trucking, I talk about the pros and cons of each of these mid-range phones and compare them to other options available. Today, we look at the OnePlus 8T, Apple's iPhone 12 mini, Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, and the Google Pixel 5.

Today, on Tech & Truckin', I drive from Sierra Vista to San Diego, California, and take another job driving to Kingman, Arizona! I discuss the question: "If I had $500 to spend on a phone, what should I spend it on?" I pick and discuss 5 phones to choose from. Will it be the great camera of Google's Pixel 4a? Will it be the fast performance of Apple's iPhone SE? Will it be the sharp display of Oneplus's Nord? Will it be the many cameras of Samsung's A51? Or, will it be the giant battery of Motorola's One Fusion+? We will take a look at those 5 options, and decide which is the best budget phone under $500!
