Julio Franco was also the oldest player ever to hit a grand slam a pinch -hit home run, two home runs in one game, and to steal two bases in a game. On April 26, 2006, Franco became the second-oldest man in MLB history to steal a base, behind only Arlie Latham, who accomplished the feat in a token appearance at age 49 with the New York Giants in 1909. On July 29, 2006, against the Atlanta Braves, Franco became the oldest player ever to pinch run, when he came in for Carlos Delgado after Delgado was hit by a pitch. He was also known for one of the most unique batting stances.
I will share my memories of him and where he is today.

Error cards were a big thing in collecting as a kid. And this was the first error card I ever had possession at one time. And he became one of my favorite players. Frank Thomas was tied for eighth in AL history for home runs (521), ninth for RBI (1,704), and sixth for walks (1,667). He was also known as the Big Hurt.
I will share my memories of him and where he is today.

Most people only know John Olerud because he wore a helmet on the field instead of a baseball cap. He was a slick defensive first baseman that hit very well everywhere we went. He won two World Series titles with the Blue Jays and hit for the cycle twice in his career. He never played minor league baseball.
I will share my memories of him and where he is today.
