With a background in banking and the mortgage business, inventing a product and seeking a patent was the last thing Beth Kuehl thought she would ever do. But a messing situation with a full house of teenagers got her thinking.  And then she and her husband  Rick Kellow, invented the GreatPlate (tm) and GreatCup (tm) - a sturdy plate with a beverage holder built into the center.  It became a solution to tipped over drinks and spills she had dealt with on the home-front for years.  Now her teens could carry a plate full of food or snacks and their drink at the same time - using just one hand.  Beth and Rick have proved the nay-sayers wrong.  Many said we wouldn't success with just a single-product company.  But we did, and today, GreatPlate is a mulit-million dollar company selling their plates and cups at retail, QVC and Amazon.
