Torah Classes

Chp, 3 verses 16 - 39: The census of the Levites, the families of Gershon, Kehos, and Merari. commanded by God to Moshe, from the age of one month old.

Chp. 1 verses 20 - 35: Moshe has been told by God to count the tribes of Israel individually by name those that were fit for military service from the age of 20 - 60. These verses deal with the first 8 tribes.

Chp. 1 verses 1 & 2: God commands Moshe to count the Jewish nation in the 2nd year on the 1st of the 2nd month, He is to count all of them from the ages of 20-60 according to their names.

Chp. 23 verses 40 - 44: The mitzvoth of lulav and Esrog, and the mitzva of dwelling in a Succah. Mitzvoth that would be observed throughout the generations.

Chp. 23 verses 3 - 10: Special days, the Shabbath, passover, and the beginning of the Omer.

Chp. 23 verses 11 - 15: The bringing of the Omer sacrifice, and the counting of the Omer.

Chp. 22 verses 1 - 16: Laws dealing with the purity of the priests.

Chp. 23 verses 24 - 39: Lecture begins with the holiday of Rosh Hashanah and its' laws. Then Yom Kippur and its' laws. Continues with Succoth and Shemini Atzereth.

Chp. 24 verses 1 - 23: Begins with the Menorah, then continues with the Showbreads and the Frankincense. The portion ends with the story of the blasphemer and the penalties for blasphemy.

Chp. 21 verses 10 -24: this portion deals with the purity and obligations of the high priest.
