Chp. 3 verses 40 - 51 and Chp. 4 verses 1 - 10: The census of the first born. Substitution of the Levites for the first born, 22,000 with a person and 273 were redeemed with money, The next chapter begins with the duties of the family of Kehoth in connection with the carrying of the vessels of the tabernacle.

Conclusion of the duties of the family of Kehos in the desert when they carried the Ark and all the vessels.

Chp. 1 verses 36 - 54: Continuation of the count of the tribes. The tribe of Levi was not part of this count because they were to serve God in the Mishkan.

Chp. 1 verses 3 - 19: Moshe and Aaron count those from the age of 20 for military service. The name of each of the princes of each tribe are listed.

Chp. 2 verses 1 - 34: A description and numbering of the tribes as to how they were divided into groups of threes, on each side of the compass with the Levites and the Tabernacle in the middle. The order in which they camped was the same order that they traveled. The chapter ends with a total number of all the men that were eligible for military service.

Bamidbar Chp. 3 verses 1 - 15: The genealogy of Aaron. The status of the Levites.

Chp. 22 verse 11 - Chp. 23 verse - 8: Continues with holy foods and when and who could eat them. Next discusses the blemishes that would invalidate an animal from being brought as a sacrifice. Also the prohibition of spading an animal. An animal must be at least eight days old to be brought as an offering. The laws that applied to a Toda sacrifice. Chp. 23 Begins with the command to work six days and to keep the seventh as the holy Sabbath. Continues with the holidays beginning with Pesach and its laws.

Chp. 22 verses 17 - 28: a description of blemishes that make an animal that is kosher invalid for being brought as a sacrifice on the alter. The prohibition of castrating any animal. The prohibition of bringing a mother and its young as a sacrifice on the same day. No animal can be brought up as a sacrifice unless it is at least 8 days old.

Chp. 22 verses 29 - 33 Chp. 23 verses 1 & 2: The Todah sacrifice. The warning not to cause a desecration of G-d's name and the requirement to glorify His name. Chp. 23, Introduction to the holidays that are proclaimed by the Jewish court.
