Esther and Mordechai wrote down the story to be named Megilas Esther “to establish these days of Purim” to never be forgotten from the Jews, the kindness of HaShem which they had endured on this day, to thank HaShem by reading the story by night and by day, by giving two food types to one friend, by giving gifts to the poor, and by feasting.
