Kabbalah Café
Creation & Redemption - Part 16
What's Your Number
With Rabbi Ari Sollish
Recorded live at The Torah Center ATL on Sunday, July 26th, 2026
Numbers hold deep meaning in Judaism. Some are famous, like 18 (chai), 10 (utterances, commandments), and 7 (creation). Others are a bit more low-key, like 42 and 49.
Both of these latter numbers are multiples of seven, and both mark real stages of spiritual growth. But they pull in opposite directions. 42 is the ache of yearning, reaching for something beyond us. 49 is the steady work of integration, making that something part of who we are.
A healthy human being, Kabbalah teaches, has a healthy 42 and a healthy 49.
In this session of Kabbalah Café we explore the mystical significance of numbers, and discover what they reveal about our own spiritual journey.
The Torah Center ATL takes pride in offering innovative, inclusive, and impactful educational programs to all. People from a diverse spectrum of life find the Torah Center to be a warm and non-judgmental community in which to experience the richness and authenticity of Jewish learning and heritage.
