Publisher's Summary:
I believe in fairy tales - the kind where a knight in shining armor sweeps me off my feet. Coming from a broken home, fairy tales housed the hope I clung to. Never in my life did I imagine two knights coming into my life - two knights that wore very different armor. A rockstar versus a lawyer. Fast and furious versus deliberate and calculated. Intense and passionate versus strong and devoted. Chaos versus stability. I fell in love with one in the craziness of a concert. I fell in love with the other in the silence of his compassion. And now I am torn between the two.
Contains mature themes.

Amazing story!
This is the first book that I have read by this author. It will not be the last. I love her writing style, characters, plot and story line development!
Torn between Hawke Calvin, rock star extraordinaire and Josh Stanton, stable, sweet and oh so swoony with a heart of gold! Samantha is a pastry sous chef with big life plans and two men in her life she didn't expect. Will she choose the lonely hot rocker or the dependable, lovable guy that she friend zoned?
She seems to know in her heart who makes her sad and who provides her the comfort she craves. Will she choose the one that needs saving or the one she saves as much as he saves her? Does she want equality or just to be someone's savior when she could be with someone who who lifts her up as much as she lifts him up as they fix each other's messes with love and comfort? I feel like Sam wants to fix the mistakes of her mom now since she carries guilt of the past. In doing that she may be reduced to a pile of ashes like her dad left her mom in.
Stable and sweet or rough and sexy? Bad boy or forever dependable love? One is natural and one seems forced.
Thankfully book two releases soon because the cliffhanger left me gasping!
I have to say I loved every word of the story and can't wait for the conclusion and I am #TeamJosh!
Lust or Love?
Poor Sam is getting pulled in two separate directions, to me? It's either LUST or LOVE...One oozes sex, drugs, and rock n roll...and the other is sweet, stable, & downright lovable.
Honestly one of these relationships is toxic and the other is a keeper. I want to yell at Sam to see the genuine man in front of her rather Jan running after a rockstar who keeps her on a back burner. It honestly frustrates my feminist little heart.
Excited to see how this tug of war plays out, on to the the next book!
Fabulous love triangle story!
This was a very entertaining first book. I wish I connected more with Sam, Hawke and Josh but for some reason I didn't. I was interested and invested in the story. What I liked about this story was Sam's involvement with Hawke and Josh. These two very different men who evoked strong feelings within her. Also how they both brought out different sides of her. Sam certainly had chemistry with both Hawke and Josh.
Sam also had her baggage from her past weighing her down which was filled with loss and sadness. Something that also connected her with Hawke and Josh. These two men were great in their own way and definitely made Sam realize her predicament.
Sam's situation being "involved" with two men was captured flawlessly. In that sense I connected with her and understood her struggles.
Even though I wasn't wooed by Hawke or Josh I definitely have picked out who I think would complement and work well with Sam.
