Today, I am getting super vulnerable and sharing with you how I was able to forgive some of the people who have caused me the most pain in my life. Forgiveness isn’t about the person who hurt you or forgetting the situation. Forgiveness is about setting yourself FREE. I’ve been able to implement a simple strategy to do this more quickly in my life: 1. Pray and help ease the burden by putting it into God’s hands 2. See the individual as a human, with human experiences that have molded and shaped their mental health, emotional health and choices. Hurt people hurt people. 3. Reframe the experience and then picture the person as an innocent child. This process has made forgiving so much easier for me to do and when we’re able to truly forgive, we move forward with our freedom.
