In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Canadian couple Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka, A.K.A. Ken and Barbie, committed a series of brutal killings that shook the nation to its core. In this episode, we explore some of the disturbing details of the case, including the controversial investigation and prosecution, the ridiculous plea agreement also known as the Deal with the Devil, and learn a little more about who exactly Ken and Barbie were.

Hi everyone! Happy Friday!  Thank you for joining us for our second session of, Fridays with Nin!! Remember how different childhood was for us growing up in the 80's and 90's vs NOW?!!!  It's literally night and day.  On todays session, we were fortunate enough to have a listener write in.  (Shout out to Tina from Visalia!!) :) 
She asked us some advice which catapults us into some deep conversation about motherhood, relationships and so much more.  

We laughed and went off on many tangents.. I think what we learned most during this episode, is that there is no handbook when it comes to parenting, and everyone goes about it differently.  Nin, shares her experiences and Stef does too by things she has witnessed over the years.  We go there and its freaking FANTASTIC.  Press play...you won't regret it.

Nowadays we are bombarded by Reality TV.  Did you know that the 90's ignited that reality tv fire in us all?  Thats right folks... we are the generation that pretty much started this madness.  If you were a fan of MTV's, "The Real World"  like us, then you were part of the reason why Reality TV has been so big since then.  Chances are you are fans of shows like Survivor, The Bachelor and Big Brother.  All shows that were products of the Reality phenomenon that changed television forever.   TV has we knew it would never be the same.  What are your favorite guilty pleasures?  Listen to this episode to find out ours....

Last week we introduced you to Fridays with Nin!  This week, Stef will show off her passion for crime stories and not just any crime...90's CRIME!  Without further adieu, we would like to introduce our second series we will be showcasing every other week. 

90's Crime Talk with Stef!  
We can't wait to dig deep and unravel many of the scandalous, horrifying, and heinous details of some of the most insane crimes of our generation.  

First up: 
Mary Kay Letourneau was a schoolteacher who gained national attention when she was convicted of raping her 12-year-old student, Vili Fualaau, in 1997. Letourneau, who was 34 years old at the time, began a sexual relationship with Fualaau when he was her sixth-grade student. 

She initially served a short prison sentence, but very shortly after her release, she was caught again with Fualaau and sent back to prison to serve her original sentence of seven years. Prior to her release, Letourneau had already given birth to two daughters with Fualaau. After Letourneau’s second release from prison in 2004, Letourneau and Fualaau were married in early 2005. 

This case drew significant media attention and raised many questions about the nature of consent in cases involving adults and minors. 

Letourneau passed away in July 2020 due to cancer.
