Known to his friends as Sheephead, Perlin Boy is a Baltimore-raised producer and DJ, as well as co-founder of the multigenre act The Megadrives. Like many other techno producers, Perlin Boy started his dance music journey on the floor of an abandoned warehouse, and has expressed his obsession with rave music ever since.
Dominion’s six tracks, composed expertly on a music tracker, reflect a lineage in both US and European techno as well as the high energy video game soundtracks of Wipeout, Midnight Club, Rez, and Jet Set Radio.

Hewn from a single natural block of raw audio information in a dank sound quarry over many hours of finger-breaking labor, the collection of audio recordings known as Non-Friction represents the latest musings of Vienna resident Psypien, an obsessively dedicated connoisseur of sounds that would make your daddy blush (unless, of course, he likes psytrance).
Finding the deepest enjoyment in dissonance and stacked audio textures, the tireless driving pulse of Psypien’s music underpins the otherworldly bleeps, screams, emissions, and howls of a choir of undomesticated synthesizers. The album also features a rare ambient interlude which nonetheless will keep the listener in a deep but intriguing uneasiness.

    3. Future Wish
    4. Be Free
    5. To Fly
Label boss Kri Samadhi returns, this time with a selection of high-energy cuts for the late-night trance floor. Balancing classic trance sound design with ultra-clean modern engineering, Kri delivers tunes that are both functional dance tools as well as explorations of the heavy and dark sound that TOUCH Samadhi is known for. The foreboding “Device” opens with driving low end, crispy textures, and mounting energy, leading straight into the storming “Toffee Cake,” where scratchy FM leads dance above the bassline amid icy atmospheres. The vibe changes abruptly with the bouncy, funky bass of “Future Wish,” which features squishy leads and a 303-driven climax. Ominous moods return with the gritty, eyes-down stomper that is “Be Free,” which inexorably pushes deeper into chaos, before the cathartic “To Fly” closes the album with a steady robotic trip through pulsating leads and vocal chops.
