  • Child Trust Funds: could you be sitting on thousands of pounds without even knowing it? A special 10-minute mini-episode with Alyson Nicholl from HMRC

If your child was born between 1 September 2002 and 2 January 2011, read on!

In this 10-minute mini-episode, TouchPoint Radio's Ayub Khan interviews Alyson Nicholl from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). Alison explains how Child Trust Funds work, who may have one, and why hundreds of thousands of young people could still have money waiting to be claimed.

Learn who qualifies for a Child Trust Fund, how the Government originally set up the scheme, how to find an account using the free GOV.UK locator service, and what options are available when the account matures.

With around 827,000 matured accounts still unclaimed and average balances of around £2,300, this interview contains practical advice that could make a real difference to many families and young adults.

We have regular interviews with HMRC on TouchPoint Radio, tune in to find out more.
