A quick reflection of the day on tough love and how it all of a sudden clicked on me that Tough and Love simply don't go together. I am speaking for the love for our children and everyone has the right to teach their children as they feel is best, but for me, i have come to conclude that Tough Love is not the way for me, and just because thats the way our parents raised us and we turned out to be "goo and decent" humans it doesn't means it the way to do it.

I listened to a podcast on Super Soul with Oprah and Dr Shefali and she talks about parenting and this is where this reflection comes from.

At the end of the day i believe what our children need the most from us, is LOVE, and each of them have different needs as to how they feel loved and i believe the work for us as parents is to find the way to love them individually, and truly accepting them, and truly learn to understand them.
