Linda, a former medical researcher, dives into how she is working to revitalize the province's local food system, which has seen local food production drop from 60% in the mid-20th century to a startling 10% to 15% today.

To counter the nearly $5 billion leaving the regional economy annually, Linda founded FarmWorks Investment Cooperative Limited, leveraging Nova Scotia's CEDIF program to offer investors up to 65% in provincial tax credits over 15 years.

By injecting over $12 million into 190 local businesses as of March 2026, FarmWorks is bridging the gap between local agriculture and tourism, rebuilding the critical food processing infrastructure needed to reclaim the "missing middle," and empowering consumers, schools, and operators to turn everyday meals into drivers of regional health and economic self-sufficiency.
