Tower of Babble

It's been years in the making but a new Batman game from Rocksteady is

finally here. And if you are at all familiar with our show you'll know full

well about our obsession for all things Batman. So when a new Arkham game

is released the whole ToB Crew drops everything and dedicates countless

hours to the Caped Crusader's pursuit of justice. Batman: Arkham Knight is

no different and Julian, Daniel and Jeremy are here to break down every

intricate detail. From combat mechanics and the Batmobile to voice acting

and next-gen visuals we discuss all things Dark Knight. Of course, after a

spoiler warning, we get into the nitty gritty of the story. Every plot

twist and story beat is analyzed. We finish off by discussing what might be

next for the franchise and more specifically what might be next for

Rocksteady Studios now that they have completed they're Bat-trilogy.

The whole ToB crew is back to discuss all the big news out of San Diego Comicon, including the Star Wars panel, X-Men and a bit of extra emphasis on the new Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad trailers. We break down each trailer into all its juicy bits and try to piece together what little information we got about the new DC Cinematic Universe (DCCU). Of course we would be remiss if we didn't mention the passing of video game legend and Nintendo President and CEO Satoru Iwata. We look at the impact his lose will have on Nintendo moving forward and take a few minutes to reflect on his career. Finally, we close out the show reviewing the latest entry in the Terminator franchise which sees Arnold return to the iconic role of the T-800 (possibly for the last time).

Its that time of year again, E3 has come and gone and the guys have taken some time to sit down and give their take on the biggest game announcements and reveals that came out of the annual gaming expo. From Horizon: Zero Dawn and Last Guardian with Sony to Star Fox and Blast Ball at Nintendo the ToB Crew discuss as much of the major stories out of E3 as time will allow. But that's not all! There was, of course, many non-gaming related stories that needed to be addressed and we have you covered. The biggest of which being the casting of Tom Holland as Spider-Man for the MCU with Jon Watts set to direct the standalone Spidey film. We also talk about Punisher being cast in season 2 of Daredevil, Star Wars Rebels season 2 premier, Hannibal being cancelled by NBC and, with heavy hearts, the passing of Christopher Lee at the age of 93 The guys also review the first episode of True Detective season 2 and analyze some of the criticisms being levied at the show. All of this and much more in a double-stuffed episode of the Tower of Babble Podcast. Enjoy! Remember to Subscribe and rate us on iTunes to give us your feedback!

The guys review the DC animated film Batman vs Robin and examine WB's creative strategy for its animated features. Are they making a mistake in adapting too many recent comic stories? Should they go back to some more original ideas and diverse animation? Does Bruce Timm's answer those questions? All of that and a short discussion on what is happening with the live action DC movies.
