Being a black kid from Hoover, Alabama, I know a thing or two about privilege... Just maybe not the way you expected.

When it comes to finding a solution to our country's very real race problem, we will not be successful unless we can look each other in the eye and speak candidly about race. The excuse of not knowing how to say it or not knowing what to say is officially becoming extinct. Its time to sit down and have some tough conversations. I promise they will end in community and reconciliation if you come with the attitude of wanting to learn. I think we have all had enough. No more excuses, no more pointing fingers, no more death. It's time to make it personal and get to work.

Some of us have unique desires and purposes the rest of us will never have the pleasure of understanding. I had the chance to sit and talk with someone eager to jump into the middle of this pandemic and make a difference.

Most of you are coming back home and have been locked away in whatever hometown you have grown to despise. I am challenging you to see and experience your city differently. I also apologize for saying "truly" way too much. This quarantine is hitting different.

I joined John at Real Easy Studios to dive deeper into the COVID-19 situation.

We dig into the elements of the Coronavirus shutdown. A college student and an (almost) college graduate analyze the effects of the virus and how we as people are responding to it. A cure for the virus is in the hands of the doctors, but a cure for the world is up to us.

COVID-19 is one of the most serious and unusual events in this century. It is a situation that will change a lot about how we look at the world and interact with it. But it is important to demonstrate patience as well. We are so quick to offer up solutions when we have not yet fully understood the problem. Let us use this time of pause to reflect and research our lives and surroundings.

Amazon has been praised and criticized for its dominance of the shopping market. However, we may not have considered what all that may mean for our downtown cities. Not to mention, it may be our fault (a little) that Amazon is the behemoth that it is now.
