Mayor Spanky thought it was important to have Chief and Troy on an episode to discuss misconceptions about Mardi Gras in Church Point, along with what part the Town of Church Point, Church Point Police Dept. and The Saddle Tramp Riders Club play in the celebration.  

The Saddle Tramp's 'Courir de Mardi Gras' has been going on for 60 years!  We also get some history of how the 'courir' began.

While everyone was enjoying Christmas weekend, our Water Dept. guys were working around the clock to make sure we had water the entire weekend.  Many towns and cities either issued a boil water advisor or had no water during the recent freezing temperatures.  Mayor Spanky talks about the problems they faced during that time.   Thank You!
