It was an embarrassing weekend for Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. On Face the Nation, he was confronted with some damning facts. Despite having received seven and a half billion dollars for electric vehicle charging, the Federal Highway Administration has only produced a grand total of seven—or maybe eight—EV chargers. In three years.

That’s a far cry from the fifty thousand per year necessary to reach the administration’s goal of five hundred thousand chargers by 2030.

The waste is particularly galling given Americans’ declining interest in buying electric cars. According to an April Gallup poll, only nine percent are even “seriously considering” purchasing an EV. 

Secretary Buttigieg claims that everything is on track and just fine. Perhaps that’s true for those on the receiving end of seven and a half billion dollars of taxpayer largesse. For the rest of us, this looks like nothing more than a government green grift.

It would be interesting to know how frequently Joe Biden visits his daughter-in-law Hallie at home, as he did last weekend.

Biden says the visit was to commemorate the anniversary of his son Beau’s death. Hallie was his wife and thereafter in a relationship with Hunter.  

But Hallie is a key prosecution witness in Hunter’s gun trial, which begins next week. Prosecutors allege that after Hunter illegally owned a weapon, Hallie disposed of his gun in a public dumpster.

It’s much easier to keep a conversation completely secret away from White House grounds. To avoid the appearance of impropriety, Biden could have hosted Hallie at The White House or spoken by phone or Zoom. It’s odd he chose not to.

And we all know that if Donald Trump had done what he just did, Biden and the media would describe it with two pithy words: Witness tampering.

Who holds a campaign event outside a criminal trial—especially with the case about to go to the jurors? Only a candidate who recognizes the prosecution as the political act that motivated it from the beginning.

Joe Biden’s campaign held a presser outside the Manhattan courtroom where Donald Trump faces criminal charges for a non-disclosure agreement. The venue had already turned into a circus, but Biden sent in a clown to complete the act: Robert DeNiro. The Oscar winning actor went on an unhinged rant about how Trump wants to “sow total chaos.” 

After spending weeks refraining from comment about the trial, Biden and his campaign suddenly feel the need to make themselves part of the story, even promising a speech from the White House after the verdict.

Clearly, Biden’s collapse in polling and rising anger over economic and security chaos has created a panic in the campaign. The campaign’s desperation reveals just how much they have to count on Democrat DAs to keep Trump from competing.

It’s not how our democracy is supposed to work.

In just a few days time, we will be marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day—the invasion of Normandy.

130,000 Allies crossed the channel that day. Among them. 54,000 Americans. 2,700 died that day alone.

We’ve called them “the greatest generation” for a reason.

But the spirit that motivated them has been exemplified by those that had gone before them … and those that have served so faithfully after them as well.

Their sacrifice is a testament to the uniqueness of our nation.

This legacy of those who have paid the ultimate price ought to renew our commitment to what George Washington called, “the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.”

This Memorial Day weekend, let’s express our gratitude to those who have served and those have died for us.

And: Let us renew our own commitment to what our first President called, “the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty.”

Last week, Americans learned just how badly the scientific so-called “experts” mishandled the covid pandemic. Republican members of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic released the transcript of an interview with Dr. Francis Collins, the former director of the National Institutes of Health.

Collins admitted he knew of “no science or evidence” to support the six-foot social distancing guideline imposed during covid.

This is a scandal. The six-feet-of-separation rule had damaging real life consequences. It made it impossible for schools to reopen, because teachers’ unions insisted the guideline be observed. Businesses suffered untold costs trying to follow the guidelines.

Yet Francis Collins, Anthony Fauci and others who imposed this regime have escaped all accountability. That, too, is a massive scandal.

The countless Americans who suffered, personally and economically, deserve better. This abuse of scientific authority must never happen again.

Many of you remember about a year ago when Target began pushing LGBTQ merchandise in anticipation of last year’s June Pride Month.

What they were selling was offensive and became a matter of controversy.

This year, Target is having to retreat a bit. The recent headline in USA Today, was this, “Target Scales Back It’s Pride Month Collection in Stores.” 

But, note: Target is making a marketing point here, not a moral point. 

They paid a price in 2023.

But Target remains intent on bulldozing through the moral code of Western civilization.

When you’re pushing moral change, once you transgress a boundary, you take, say, two or three yards, you retreat a yard and then you press forward again, two or three yards, you retreat a yard. This is the way the moral revolutionaries press their agenda. 

It looks like they’re backing up, but they’re only doing so in order to press forward. 

It’s one of the reasons that conservatives, and in this case Christians, often come out on the losing end of this kind of headline.

Don’t be fooled.

If it seems perverse that the ICC would target the victim nation of an invasion by a terror network that perpetrated the worst organized atrocities in decades—then you're just paying attention. But it gets worse than that, as prosecutor Karim Khan's demand actually validates Hamas' human-shield strategies. 

To claim that Israel is responsible for civilian deaths in Gaza, rather than the terror network committing the actual war crime of staging military/terror operations in civilian areas, is a grotesque moral inversion. This validates terrorism and Hamas' human-shield strategies, making it impossible to ever fight and defeat terror networks that attack established states. 

The ICC waited over seven months after October 7 to take any action against Hamas leadership despite the obvious evidence of atrocities. Now they want to make a moral equivalence between genocidal terrorism and legitimate armed defense. It’s patently outrageous, and does nothing but incentivize terror attacks on civilized nations.

We just got the new unemployment claims and they’ve spiked up to the highest level in 18 months. Consumer confidence is down, and inflation is still above average. 

Yes, the stock market is up, but so are gold prices which suggests the markets are rising not on expectations of a good economy, but on expectations of the Fed going back to pumping money into markets. 

President Biden tries to blame corporate greed, but it’s government greed which is really to blame. As Milton Friedman said, inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon. That means that debasing the currency in order to feed greedy government is why we get less Snickers for our dollar. Want a strong economy? Get different leaders. The last time we had low growth and high inflation, was the ’70s. Carter blamed corporate greed. Reagan blamed government. America elected Reagan. He beat inflation and restored growth. Let's elect solid, pro-growth leaders in every branch of government and watch the economic growth miracle happen all over again.

A law professor waved an American flag at a City University of New York protest—and got threats in response. Jeffrey Lax counterprotested this last week at a pro-Palestinian demonstration on campus organized by the Muslim Student Association. They called the flag a “fascist symbol,” a “Nazi flag,” and pledged to target Lax in future protests—as well as other “Zionist staff.”

“These people hate America,” Lax said. “They want America destroyed.”

Are they succeeding? Immediately after this incident, CUNY cited “security concerns” as they canceled two Hillel events on its campuses—celebrating Israel’s Memorial Day and then their Independence Day.

In other words, CUNY caved to the radical mobs that want an end to America rather than stand up for those who wish to uphold our ideals in free speech and religious tolerance.

If you didn’t hear about this, it’s because not a single American media outlet covered it. Not even the media in New York reported on the cancellation of two Jewish events as radical activists target campuses—and the American ideal.

The battle between red states and giant Wall Street firms pushing ESG—environmental, social and governance—investing looks on the surface like it’s just about the anti-fossil fuel agenda. But it’s really much deeper, it’s an anti-human life agenda. Blackrock’s CEO recently told the World Economic Forum (the great reset people) that depopulation is good for the economy:

I can argue in the developed countries the big winners are countries that have shrinking populations … these countries will rapidly develop robotics and AI and technology….The paradigm of negative population growth is going to be changing, and the social problems that one will have in substituting humans for machines is going to be far easier in those countries that have declining populations.

Blackrock and other enormous Wall Street Firms are members of a Net Zero business alliance which openly admits that their commitment to zero carbon emissions requires significant cutbacks in food production as well as population control, including half a billion fewer Africans in 2050. That's why they push abortion.

ESG is—simply put—anti-human.
