I went out to dinner the other night with a friend. She shared about her experience dating men. While explaining, the term toxic masculinity was brought up. So I asked her, "What about toxic femininity?" She paused and said “I don’t even know what that is.”  I responded “well, if we are going to talk about toxic traits that exist in men, we need to talk about toxic traits that exist in women.”

Gigi is a professional hair stylist, makeup artist, and image consultant. Gigi has been in a monogamous partnership with her husband for 12 years, and shares a personal story of how she realized she was mistreating, sexualizing and emotionally abusing men. She vulnerably and openly explains how she discovered she was treating men exactly how she didn’t want to be treated. We discuss the feminist movement, pseudomasculinity, relationships, polyamory and monogamy and the importance of radical honesty and holding our sisters accountable when they aren’t behaving productively.
