Toy Power Podcast

Today on the Toy Power Podcast we look at a fan requested toyline (thanks Michael!), the very 90s Biker Mice from Mars. At the height of the mutant craze what did Throttle, Modo and Vinnie bring to the table? Ben takes us on a loud journey as we discover just what the Galoob toyline had in common with Venom and even Terminator. We then steal a segment idea from our friends at the GSTU Network show Breaking the Panel by going through what we are currently Reading/Watching/Playing. With all the good movies, games and books out there, it’s a pretty extensive list.  But which one us is actually WRITING a book? Trent then tests the boys with another Who Am I quiz – there’s only one we outright blank on that will make you scream the name in frustration! We then round it out with a quick Soapbox on the new vintage-styled Masters figures from Super7. In particular, the Power Harness of He-Mans that just won’t quit…

Today on the Toy Power Podcast, it's a family affair as we welcome Ben's little brother Andrew to the show. You know, the handsome Sachse! Andrew shares with us his love of all things mechanic with the perfect toy line: Crash Dummies by Tyco. Not to be confused with a certain hit 90s song, what started as an educational series of toys, became a hit with cars, planes and figures that were actually designed to break apart. But how do parents deal with a toy that is constantly “breaking”? No, no – not the dreaded Kraggle mum! The Sachse boy regale us with childhood stories and bring in both the toys and some treasured home-made items. We then change gears and return to the Jurrassic era for a good look at latest movie-tie in, this time from Mattel. With everything from the tiny Kinder-surprise toys to the Super Colossal T-Rex, Ben fills the table with dinos of all shapes and sizes. How did Mattel do in their first dino-attempt? But the real question of this episode is: What would Picard do?
