The prequel to the tetralogy in the same universe, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes might just be the longest title we’ve seen in a while, but fear not, this movie is also… long. Set 65 years before the original The Hunger Games book-which-had-movies-about-it, this was actually one book (sorry Jill) which seems to have been stretched out to make a very long movie. Don’t fear about getting confused, because there’s plenty of nods to the future series, like that cool dude President John Sno… sorry Coveryouranus Snow, that very cat-like person Tigris but she’s apparently also a Snow and a huge name-drop to Katniss…who is apparently named after a swamp potato. Who’d have thunk it?
