Global markets fall this week as the U.S. Federal Reserve maintains that they will remain hawkish to temper U.S. inflation. The BSP raises rates for the 5th time this year as the local currency continues to fall at historic lows.

Local shares ended in the red for the 4th straight week as the PSEi hovers around its support level following a surprise inflation uptick in the U.S.  Trade will continue to be muted as investors await decisions on policy rates.

Following a slew of economic data releases, the PSEi drops for the third straight week despite foreigners continuing to buy into the Philippine market.  Look for the PSEi to continue consolidating above its 100 day MA as the Philippine Peso tries to recover from historical lows.
