Last week news dropped that current WBC champion, Oscar Valdez had failed a drug test with WBC Clean Boxing Partner, VADA. Since the news broke the boxing world has had mixed reactions. Some defend Valdez as the rules are confusing, depending on which Association is used for testing. Others claim Valdez is an outright cheat and should be banned from the sport. Both sides surely agree on this, this weekends bout between Valdez and Conceicao should not be going ahead with fighter safety at risk! However, as we know in boxing, common sense doesn't always prevail.
