CIE4821. Master course fundamental traffic flow characteristics and traffic flow variables. This lecture discusses the fundamental diagram (FD) and the relations between the 3 traffic flow variables. The important points in the FD, the influences of circumstances and flow regimes will be explained. Some frequently used FD's are eleborated.
