This indicates that His glory no longer drives us away; instead, it draws us near.

God continues to show His character and heart by telling His people what it looks like to live a set-apart life.

Being made right with God has never been about what we do; it's always about who He is and what He has done.

As we continue studying the Law of Moses in Exodus, we're reminded that while the law is good, it cannot save. Its role is to reveal sin, not redeem us from it. That's why Romans 7–8 is so vital: it shows our deep need for rescue and the glorious truth that “the law of the Spirit of life has set us free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death” (Rom. 8:2). We are not saved by law-keeping, but by the Spirit who gives life through Jesus. The same Spirit who saves us now teaches us to walk in freedom.

Galatians 2:1–10 shows Paul defending the truth that salvation comes by grace alone through faith in Christ, without adding any human requirements. His meeting with the Jerusalem apostles affirms that there is only one gospel for all people, uniting believers in truth, freedom, and mission.

God cares about the ordinary day-to-day challenges confronting all of us in this fallen world. Hot on the heels of the ten commandments is this section of how the covenant community should live in less-than-ideal circumstances.
