About Thia: Thia Malan has had quite a diverse and accomplished running career over the past few decades, and we are so excited to talk to her. She started her athletics journey in South Africa, running in school cross-country through her teenage years and then losing the sport after a difficult mental setback during school. After remaining active and fit for the subsequent years, she "rediscovered" her passion for racing and ventured into the world of ultramarathoning. Now, she lives in Wales and is an accomplished ultramarathoner, and finisher of one of the toughest ultra-races, the 6 day Dragon's Back race.
