Trail To Adventure

Most good books have a way of drawing you from one chapter to the next. There is something that makes you want to see what happens next. The better the story, the more you want to know.

On today's program, we will visit with an old friend who shares the next chapter of his life. Three years ago, we met with a friend that had spent years fighting alcoholism and at 40 years old, God saved him from himself. God has done amazing work in his life.

All of us who have spent time in the mountains can attest to the feeling of a closeness to God. There is something special about being above everything down below, with nothing to stand between us and heaven.

On today's program, we'll hear about a different trip to the mountains. Most of the story is exciting and adventurous, turns disastrous, and comes out with a meeting in the mountains with God.

There are times in life when we make plans for our future and think everything is set for our years ahead. Everything is going well and suddenly God changes our direction. Everyone goes through these times. Some of us have this happen more often than others, some in much more drastic ways.

On today's program, we'll visit with a guest that had his life planned out for him and his wife and what felt like a disaster hit. God had other plans. When we allow God to work in our lives we can live with amazing peace.

Life is very similar to fishing. Sometimes things are like smooth water and a moment later you might be facing the worst storm of life, wondering if you will make it through. We all face storms in our lives. How we deal with them shows where our base is.

On today's program, we will visit with a boat captain that has spent over 40 years on the salt water from The NorthEast coast of Florida to across the Gulf of Mexico to the coast of Texas. In his time on the seas, he faced many storms that nearly took his life and the lives of his mates.

It's said that true leadership is servanthood, and the greatest leader of all time was Jesus Christ. Servanthood is an attitude exemplified by Him. It should be the goal of each of us to live out a life like the life of Jesus.

On today's program, we will meet a pastor who has lived a life of service beginning very young in ROTC and stretched over 50 years through many phases of life. Today, he serves at a Northern Florida church as a pastor of Community Service, reflecting the servanthood of Jesus.

When God created men and women, He placed fathers in the home to lead and be an example of our heavenly father to their sons and daughters. Until recently, most homes had a father in the home. Today, it's unfortunate that only about 50 percent of homes have a father in the home. Many young boys are being raised without a father to show them what it means to be a man or father.

On today's program, we will hear from a man who was raised without a steady influence of a full time father. We will see how other men came alongside him as a boy to point him towards Jesus Christ.

All men and women in some way or another love God's Great Outdoors… The creation, not necessarily the radio program. God has set in the human heart a passion for something in creation.

On today's program. we will visit with possibly the world's foremost expert on creation. He came to this country as a young man and over the last 50 years he has made studying creation not only fun but also very educational.

Not everyone ends up in higher education and much of today's colleges are leading many of our young People away from following Jesus Christ. There is a place in the very center of the USA that offers most every educational opportunity and keeps Christ at the very center of education.

On today's program we'll meet the president of one of the largest, solid Christian educational facilities in the country.

There are many places in the Bible that talks about how we are called to service in the Lord. Most of us will never be called to the mountains of Asian countries or the deserts of North Africa or jungles of South America or Central Africa. However, when Jesus was about to ascend into heaven, He told each of us that we are called. Jesus told us that all of us that know Him have had the call to share the Gospel throughout the world.

There is one thing that all men have it common… They all have had a father at one time or another. Some men may have lost their father to death or by them running away from their family, but at one time we all had a biological father. Some earthly fathers are good examples of what God is to us and others are not an example of what a father should be.

On today's program, we'll hear from a man who's father literally threw him away. He was such a poor example of what a father should be and it made our guest want nothing to do with a heavenly father.
