This episode is a bit personal, a bit raw, very emotional, and a look into the word GRACE. I talk about what it means from perspective based on my experiences. I try my best to explain why it is important for us as Men to extend this to ourselves. It so very layered and complex

We have covered alot on this journey, but now, in this final episode, I want to offer something real, something personal. This part is not about policy, recruitment, or strategy. This is about me....

What I gave

What I gained

And, If given the chance, I'd do it again

When considering military service, a lot of people ask "what do I give up?" And that would be the right question, but what is not asked is what do I gain? In this episode we will discuss what military service gives you, and we will have a very candid conversation about the challenges of life after military service, and how loved ones, community leaders, employers, and various others can help in that transition.

In Part 2 of this series talks about how leadership helped to shape me as a sailor and how I use that to be a leader in civilian life, and in a nation that is constantly in flux, I share my perspective on why TRUE patriotism matters. This episode is gonna be a good listen.

Most veterans such as myself get asked why did we serve? Why did we take an oath? Well, you would be surprised at the answers we would give. Some are personal, some are patriotic, and others.....they would be too big to fit in a sound bite, but all of those reasons would be valid. Part 1 of this series delves into why I served, and my boot camp experience and what i gained form that experience. This will be a raw, thoughtful and introspective series.
