In this episode I talk about growing up on social assistance, the impact that had on me, how I have been running away from that life and the realization that I don’t need to run anymore. It took a long time to realize that the life I live now is drastically different from the life I had growing up. Now I can take a deep breath, look around and know that I am safe, I am fine. Take a walk down memory lane with me and let’s discover how to stop running away from the things that were never chasing us in the first place.

In this episode I chat about someone crossing my boundary, being pushed back on a boundary I had to set. I also give some tips on how to know you need boundaries, as well as how to establish boundaries.

Society has tried to tell us that as a woman we should feel threatened by the women around us. Those who we deem smarter, prettier, more intelligent, more successful. But what if we flipped that on it’s head? What if we championed each other and we lifted up those around us, all in the effort to better one another. We would have a massive impact on the lives we encounter, and the world around us.

Let’s chat about that, about what it looks like in the early days. The shame and stigma of postpartum depression, taking medications and all that goes with it.

Our words matter. They hold power. We can build someone up or tear them down with mere words. Let’s change the narrative and change the way we speak to others and to ourselves.
